Quantum Simulation with Tensor Networks for Digital Twins

Quantum Simulation Visual

Workshop Information

Dates and time: 08:45 - 17:00, Thursday 24 October - Friday 25 October 2024

Dinner: Thursday 24 October, 19:00 at Hotel Du Vin, Exeter

Venue: Read Hall, University of Exeter

The goal of this workshop is to gather quantum researchers in the UK to discuss the development of quantum simulators at increasing scale. We aim to review the progress in quantum hardware and software development, concentrating on questions of simulating quantum matter as most likely the first beneficiary from current quantum devices. Specifically, we will discuss the possibility of building tensor network-based simulators (or equivalent), and using them as effective digital twins that mimic the connectivity of current QCs. The programme includes talks presenting current research (25 min + 5 min for quesions). We also have two round table discussions planned as brainstorming sessions (each being one hour long).

The current programme (as of 22/10/2024) can be downloaded here: Programme (pdf).
